all the sunshine
and sodas
and puppy dogs
would mean nothing
without the rest of it.
All the work
all the tears
all the mistakes
and gaffes
and outright fuck-ups.
Sink through the floor
if you must
but remember
when you can
what put you on that floor
to begin with.
Then go find a ladder
and climb a little higher...
