As one of my goals for 2010, both to improve my brain and my writing, I committed to reading a book per week, that's 52 of 'em, in 2010. The rest of my goal starts didn't happen until mid-February, but I got the ball rolling on this on January first (or a little sooner, truth be told), because I just didn't want to wait.
If you're interested in attempting a similar project, I strongly suggest reading Julien Smith's post on how he finally accomplished his goal; it's what motivated me to commit to mine!
